This is the Asian Rounder and this is my first post. I’m starting a new thread called T-shirtspotting that will feature random t- shirts I’ve seen or bought around the world.

The above t-shirt was purchased in Bangkok, Thailand at the Monkey See shop which is located at Central World. I’ve done some searches online in both Thai and English however I have not been able to locate a website.

It’s unfortunate the don’t have an online presence because they offer up some pretty cool designs. I asked the clerk at the store, and they are a Thai owned t-shirt company that supposedly has around 5 stores in Thailand.

The featured shirt was one of many t-shirts I purchased. I loved the combination of Jesus, Elvis with a playing card. The splash paint in white was  printed with a special raised fuzzy ink. Overall pretty cool t-shirt! Plus, I think I only paid about 500 baht or around $14 US dollars.

If you are ever in Bangkok, be sure to stop by a Monkey See shop and check out their cool designs!

I visited the store in Bangkok in July 2008 and also bought a few shirts. I love the designs and imagination and wish i would have bought more. The shirts i bought were more like 30$ Canadian. I also looked for the store on the web when i came home.
If it is a UK copy….what it the brand name?

I can’t find any information online about this company in Thailand or the UK… If it is supposedly an expensive UK brand you would assume they would have a website… Whether or not the Thai brand is a knock or not I’m really not sure.. Regardless the Monkey See t-shirts I bought in Bangkok are comfortable and the designs are pretty cool!

I’ve bought some of these tshirts in BKK last month. They are awsome but pretty expensive (approx 30usd per tshirt). New collection is very nice. I wish I can purchase them online.

Monkey See must have raised its prices! I’m actually heading to BKK in June, and I was planning on visiting Monkey See to pick-up a few t-shirts. Although I really don’t want to spend 1000 Baht on a t-shirt, when there are some really cool t-shirts to be had for around 100 Baht elsewhere in Thailand.
