Anyone that grew up in the 80′s surely remembers the painful public service announcements that were shown at the end of each G.I. Joe cartoon.

I can’t remember the details of the episodes or plots from the G.I. Joe cartoons, but I do know one thing with certainty, “Knowing is half the battle”.

What time or era does the word “retro” refer to? Does “retro” mean something from the 50′s, 60′s or 70′s? Usually it just depends on who you are talking with, because everyone has a different idea of what “retro” means. First, it depends on what decade you grew up in. For many the mention of the word “retro” conjures up memories of the 80′s. Memories of buying Michael Jackson’s Thriller on tape, watching Rocky IV on VHS or playing Mario on Nintendo. Of course one cannot forget the great 80′s cartoon heroes! Arguably, the greatest cartoon heroes of all time were created and produced in the 80′s. Such as He-Man, G.I. Joe Transformers and Thundercats! In honor of these great cartoon heroes, 80′s Tees offers up some great t-shirts! They offer so many that it was not possible to feature them all. When it comes to 80′s action figures, G.I. Joe is king! No other toy promoted violence or kicked as much ass as G.I. Joe! For God sake, just watch the cartoon or look at the pictures above. These guys were real American hard asses!

Of course everybody would still love to play with G.I. Joe toys regardless of their age. However, because playing with action figures at the work place or in front of your girl friend is frowned upon you may be better off just wearing a G.I. Joe t-shirt!

The Green Lantern is probably one of the most under rated super heroes ever! The character is arguably one of DC’s most popular classic super heroes, but for some reason no major movie has been created featuring the Green Lantern as the main character… that is until now!

In the summer of 2011 a Green Lantern movie will be released featuring Ryan Reynolds. Cool huh?
