real life t-shirt

Forget about Facebook or Myspace! There is a new way to meet and interact with people… it’s called REAL LIFE!

If you are not familiar with REAL LIFE, you should turn off your computer,   go to bar, restaurant or some other live social setting and meet people.

This involves shaking hands, smiling and other tactics such as talking. It might seem difficult, but with a little work you too can enjoy REAL LIFE!

If you are tired of so-called social networking websites, sport a reallife t-shirt and go meet some real people in the real world!

tshirtspotting

This is the Asian Rounder and this is my first post. I’m starting a new thread called T-shirtspotting that will feature random t- shirts I’ve seen or bought around the world.

The above t-shirt was purchased in Bangkok, Thailand at the Monkey See shop which is located at Central World. I’ve done some searches online in both Thai and English however I have not been able to locate a website.

It’s unfortunate the don’t have an online presence because they offer up some pretty cool designs. I asked the clerk at the store, and they are a Thai owned t-shirt company that supposedly has around 5 stores in Thailand.

The featured shirt was one of many t-shirts I purchased. I loved the combination of Jesus, Elvis with a playing card. The splash paint in white was  printed with a special raised fuzzy ink. Overall pretty cool t-shirt! Plus, I think I only paid about 500 baht or around $14 US dollars.

If you are ever in Bangkok, be sure to stop by a Monkey See shop and check out their cool designs!

bancsumo

Anyone that has spent any considerable amount of time in Korea has surely spotted someone wearing a BANC t-shirt. The brand is so popular many Korean celebrities sport the t-shirts on TV and in photo shoots.

BANC is a Korean clothing brand that is supposedly made / designed in England. However, I personally think that is just a ploy to sell more t-shirts! There are plenty of designers in Korea that are capable of creating the designs.

BANC mostly sales t-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts and caps. Each design is basically a different Lego character or robot. They offer countless designs, and many themes. There are BANC Batman, Superman, and Shrek t-shirts just to name a few.

There are BANC stores all throughout Korea and a t-shirt typically sells for 38,000 Won (about $30 bucks depending on the exchange rate).  Unfortantely, besides e-bay I’m not sure whether or not BANC is available outside of Korea.

Here are a few more designs:

The Big Lebowski is one of my most favorite movies ever! I’ve probably watched it at least 100 times, but it never gets old.

Despite the movie getting fairly terrible reviews from critics when it was first released, it has gone on to become a modern Cult Classic!

Because of the huge following there are many Big Lebowski t-shirts available online. Almost all the popular t-shirt websites sale Big Lebowski t-shirts.  Personally, I love them all!

The T-shirt Bordello t-shirt featured above is special because it comes with a Little Lebowski Urban Achiever award! If that isn’t cool I don’t know what is!

When I first saw this t-shirt, I was like “sweet” it’s a Ghost Riding t-shirt! However, after further inspection I discovered it was a parody t-shirt about the Game of Life and gay marriage. It’s a pretty original and funny t-shirt, but I personally liked it better when I thought it was about Ghost Riding!

Ghost Riding, for those that don’t know already, is basically when you put your car in neutral and get out and bust some dance moves around the car, on the roof or hood. For those that want to know more you should read this article or check out the video below (skip to 0:45 because the first part is bit of nonsense).

Be sure to read the follow-up story as it has a personal twist!

Ok, now for the personal twist! I was in Hanoi awhile back and I randomly met a guy that knew the creators of  the “Ghostride The Volvo” video featured above. Apparently these guys traveled to Asia and filmed more videos and created a vlog about their adventures in Asia. From what I understand it was their attempt to become celebrities or famous. Read this article from the San Francisco Chronicle for more details. You can also check out their website and videos at the Huge in Asia website. The website features some pretty good footage from Hanoi. Unfortantely, it appears the website hasn’t been updated for awhile, I guess the guys got bored and moved on to another project!

Do you ever see a witty t-shirt and say to yourself, “Damn! Why didn’t I think of that?” That was the first thought that jumped in my mind when I saw this new design from Snorg Tees. This t-shirt is so simple yet very clever!

Even better is the t-shirt makes reference to the once popular song, Karma Chameleon, from the Culture Club. Back in 1984 this song was #1 on the Bill Board top 100! Also, this t-shirt sparks up memories. Not only of the 8o’s, but I once saw Boy George DJ in the UK. It was a good show if I remember correctly, but I think I was tripping on something so who knows!

Out of curiosity I went to Daily Motion and found the video. For some reason it is supposed to take place in Mississippi around 1870. Boy George is dressed as usual (like a fruit cake) and everyone else is dressed colorfully as well. There is a riverboat gambling scene which results in some guy being made to walk a plank. Is that strange?

At the end you can see it is a modern boat with lights! It’s supposed to be 1870 right? Am I the only one confused here? I guess Boy George traveled back in time on a boat? WTF?

Anyway, if you have time to kill check out the video below. Just keep in mind there was probably a lot of drugs (coke and heroin) involved when this video was filmed.

F*** Land! I’m On A Boat! If you haven’t heard the hilarious song, “I’m On A Boat” from The Lonely Island album Incredibad you are either lame or actually living on a boat somewhere. Seriously, this song is funny!

And if you can’t get enough of the song and video then you will probably like  an “I’m On A Boat” t-shirt! There are many available online such as the featured t-shirt above from Clutch Tees.

Follow this link for the lyrics of the song. Sing it to your friends!
